About Us

Since 2008, WhiteLeaf Marketing has worked as a trusted advisor to some of the largest brands in technology across a wide spectrum of needs.

Our founder, Jon Weisblatt, is a former FinTech entrepreneur who has spent virtually his entire career in technology. He’s a down-to-earth, get-it-done partner for clients, and is able to work cross-functionally at multiple levels of the organization.

Jon has built a strong network of executives who specialize in fractional CxO work, which is ideal for companies of all sizes who want to have the expertise on-hand, but don’t want the overhead of a full-time staff.

Some on Jon’s career highlights:

Founder and CEO of UpgradeUSA

  • Jon was the bootstrapped founder of this FinTech focused on leasing IT products to businesses, schools, and non-profits. Initially focused in the B2C space, Jon followed his customer feedback and pivoted the business to focus on B2B.
  • He developed the product and customer experience, identified the revenue model, and grew the customer base. Through the process, he built a great team and raised $2.5M from outside investors for operations and lending capital. The company is now owned by its private equity investors.
  • He built close go-to-market partnerships with Best Buy for Business, Wondersign, and several more manufacturers and resellers.
  • With his strong background in marketing, Jon was able, over time, to bring customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) down to almost $0 using a variety of creative tactics.

Chief Operating Officer and Partnerships Executive at Austin-area startups.

  • Jon was one of the first US hires for the Germany-based Ferry Automotive in 2021. As COO, Jon built out the operations of the company, everything from standing up the P&L, running global payroll for 10 employees and 16 contractors, to developing the credit model for customer acquisition and approvals.
  • At Ferry, worked closely with the initial Series Seed investors to refine the business model, investor deck, and hiring plan. He was instrumental in closing the final investors in the Seed round, bringing the total raise to $4M.
  • The following year, Jon was asked by an Austin area VC to join a portfolio company called RidersShare, which is the industry leader in peer-to-peer (P2P) motorcycle rentals. Jon helped refine the P&L, ran operations, and secured $1.3M in bridge funding (debt + equity) as the company gets positioned for its next round in 2023.
  • Jon also ran partnerships/business development for two transportation-oriented companies:
    • uShip, one of the largest peer-to-peer shipping companies in the US, is a marketplace used for transporting big and bulky items, including automobiles, motorcycles, heavy equipment and more, across a variety of vertical industries. Jon helped rebuild the company’s partnership with eBay Motors, and also worked closely with Ritchie Bros. Auctions, Etsy, and RumbleOn.
    • CitizenShipper, a similar peer-to-peer shipping platform that focuses on a slightly different niche than uShip. Jon has remained an advisor to the company’s executive team, and is helping them build out their automotive transportation relationships on the shipper and transporter sides.
